Frequently Asked questions
Is DEK Roofing Licensed And Insured?
We carry up to date licensing and insurance at all times. We cannot pull permits unless our license and insurances are up to date.
Do I Need A Permit?
We secure a permit for every re-roof, and ensure that your permit is properly closed with your city before you make your final payment.
Is DEK Roofing's Work Guaranteed?
All of our re-roofs come with a warranty from the manufacturer, and a guarantee from DEK Roofing, Inc. The length of your warranty/guarantee is dependent on the system you choose for your roof.
Does DEK Roofing Finance?
We are pre-approved contractors with both Ygrene and Home Run Financing to make securing funding for your re-roof easier.
What can I expect during my residential re-roof?
The day before we start - Materials will be delivered and loaded up on to the roof (unless otherwise specified). Your driveway needs to be empty.
Start day - Weather permitting, the crew will arrive around 7:30-8:00 am, please have your driveway empty for the dump truck. Per your contract, a partial payment may be due at this time. The existing roof will be torn off. This process is loud and creates dust and debris.
Once tear off is complete - New underlayment is installed. For most residential homes this takes one day, however, larger roofs may take two days. Your roof will not be left exposed if a second day is needed. Once underlayment is installed - We have to pause for city inspections. This can take a day or two depending on your city's schedule. Any additional wood used during tear-off will be tallied and invoiced. Also, a second round of materials (tile/shingle/metal) will be loaded for these types of roofs. Per your contract, a partial payment may be due at this time.
Once underlayment inspections are passed - Tile/shingle/metal will be installed.
Once installation is complete - A final inspection will be called. This can take a day or two depending on your city's schedule.
Once the final inspection has passed - A final clean-up will be done and proof of finalized permit and payment in full will be provided.
